Writing is a key element of literacy. Many believe that the kinesthetic experience of forming letters helps children internalize the alphabet, making the connection between the letter sound and symbol in the process. At the Writing Center, children will practice both pencil and keyboarding skills. Since drawing is an important part of learning to write, drawing exercises will encourage children to tell stories through drawing and writing.
